When to contact us

What to do if your usual contact is away?
If your Executive is away, their work will be covered either by a member of our cover team or by another staff member.

Telephone calls to and from Clearcast may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes. When you call, you’ll hear a recorded message reminding you of this.
Complaining about an ad?
If you want to complain about an advert you’ve seen on TV, please contact the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), who have the authority to investigate adverts. When they receive complaints, they decide whether they merit further investigation and, in the case of TV ads, will contact us to hear our rationale for why we cleared them. The ASA will then adjudicate on the complaints and publish their decision along with a summary of submissions they have received from the relevant advertiser and Clearcast.
We work for and on behalf of the UK broadcasters, and much of the information that informs our decisions is submitted on confidentially. As a result, we're unable to discuss ad clearance decisions and complaints with the public. However, if you are a consumer/member of the public and would like to get in touch, please email consumer@clearcast.co.uk.
